What Is the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus?

The Candela GentleMax Pro Plus is a dual-wavelength laser system. It combines a 755 nm Alexandrite laser with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, giving trained providers two different wavelengths to work with depending on skin type, hair characteristics and the treatment goal.

Why Dual Wavelengths Matter

Different wavelengths interact with skin and hair differently. The Alexandrite wavelength is commonly used for hair reduction on lighter skin tones, while the Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates more deeply and is often selected for darker skin tones.

Having both available in one platform allows the provider to customize treatment rather than relying on one setting for every client.

Candela GentleMax Pro Plus for Laser Hair Removal

Your first step should be a consultation. You may be advised to avoid tanning and sun exposure and to shave the treatment area according to your provider’s instructions.
